Lights, Camera and Action! - 6th Form

In order to commemorate the “Memory Day” in Argentina, we had an interesting debate in 6th Form about the causes and consequences of the dictatorship, the way it affected teenagers like themselves, and people in general.

The following week, and so as to link this topic with our Annual Project “Lights, Camera and Action”, we watched a film related to Germany during the Second World War.  Before watching the film, we had a previous talk about the differences between democratic elections and dictatorships,  the causes and consequences of  World War II, and about how and why Hitler rose to power.  The name of the film is “The Book Thief”, and tells us about the war from the point of view of a thirteen year-old girl.
