BINGO! More Fun and Games in Third Form.

In third form we are learning about what we are talking about food. We're also learning about how to ask for food and find out what's in the market. So, to practice out skills we put a new twist on the classic bingo game.

For out bingo game we drew our own refrigerators. Next, we put four of our favourite food vocabulary words in our refrigerators. Take a look below.

Next we passed out our bingo cards a got to playing. We got up and walked around the room asking our classmates what there was in in their refrigerator. If they had the item we could cross it off, if not we kept going. We also had to be careful for singular and plural items to differentiate between there is and there are.  Once we got for items in a row we won. It was a lot of fun. Check it out!

This activity, while fun, challenged us to apply what we've learned in a real-world context. Now we know that we use "Are there any..." or "Is there a/an..." to find out if someone has what we need. We also showed that we can apply what we know through speaking and listening. Finally we learned that we progress through practice and setting goals. So, through this activity we showed that we can navigate not only classroom or the market place but anything we set our minds too. Thanks for learning with us!
